Red Bud Festival's Stars Shine Bright II
Showcase and Submission Eligibility Rules
- Format: Country or Gospel
- Single and Duo Vocal Acts Only (No Bands)
- Age: 16 – 29 (As of April 25, 2009)
- Not signed to any recording contract or label.
- Must submit 3 songs (preferably on CD or DVD) for judges evaluation (original songs must have verification of copyright and clear indication that performer has at least 50% creative ownership of song).
- Deadline for showcase submissions April 10 with selected performers to be notified on Monday, April 13, 2009.
Note: Two of the three songs submitted to evaluation committee will be selected by producers if you are chosen for a showcase performance. Please submit songs in terms of preference i.e. your best song should be first, second best song next and least favorite last. The producers will try to have each performer sing the first two submissions but is not a guarantee. The producers have final say on which songs will ultimately be played. No substitutions of songs are allowed once your application has arrived to our office.
- All performers selected for the showcase must be available for rehearsal with band on Friday, April 24 anytime after 5 PM. Those travelling the furthest will be given later time slots for rehearsal. Each performer will be given a maximum of 20 minutes of rehearsal time with band.
- Fees: If artist is selected for a showcase spot (maximum 10), there will be a $300 fee to participate (do not sent fees until you are accepted). All participants must become members of Cultural Heritage Network (CHN) in order to perform in showcase. A portion of your participation fees will be automatically applied to your membership. CHN application forms will be mailed out to you with your acceptance packet. Payments are made to Goodtyme Productions, PO Box 1597, Prestonsburg, KY 41653. Artist sponsorships are not only allowed but encouraged. All performers will be introduced on stage with their sponsors name included. IE Please give a big welcome to Jane Doe from ____________________ and sponsored by Acme.
Sponsors will also be included in program insert.
Winner of Showcase will receive the following:
- Cash Prize of - $1,000
- Up to 6 hours of recording time with Branham Productions (musicians not included).
- Performance at World Equestrian Games 2010 representing the Country Music Highway plus various other performance opportunities that are currently being negotiated by showcase producers.
- Promotional Opportunities through various media as Showcase Winner.
